The trauma of watching Jawani Diwani lingers long after the exit from the movie hall.
This is another silly Bollywood film headed for the grave of oblivion.
And deservedly so. This crass film has hardly any reedeming quality.
Mann (Emran Hashmi) is an aspiring singer and when he sees Radha (Hrishitaa Bhatt), the daughter of a music record executive, he decides to maker her his passport to success. Soon, he is engaged to her and his album is set for release.
To celebrate his good fortune, Mann goes to Goa with his buddies. In Goa, he meets the sexy Roma (Celina Jaitley). The two spend a night together. They are rudely awakened the next morning by gangster Chappu Bhai. You see, Chappu Bhai is in love with Roma, who doesn't care a whit for him.
Chappu is disappointed to see Roma in bed with Mann but decides to get the two married pronto. Which he does, much to Mann's great chagrin. For Mann, his priorities are his music career and Radha.
Mann prevails upon Roma to sign divorce papers so that his music career won't be jeopardized.
Chappu Bhai (Mahesh Manjrekar) looks and behaves more like a clown than as a gangster.
The songs are as bad as the silly movie. None of the songs are memorable. The only passable song is Jiska Mujhe Intezaar.
Jawaani Diwani appears to be inspired by the 1991 film The Marrying Man starring Alec Baldwin and Kim Bassinger. - Copyright SearchIndia.com.
