Raghunandan Yandamuri Enacting His Crimes to the Police
Telugu bidda Raghunandan Yandamuri was dealt a severe blow in Montgomery County court today when Judge Steven T. O’Neill disallowed his motion for suppression of his video confession and written statement to the police relating to the twin murders of 10-month-old Saanvi Venna and her 61-year-old grandmother Satyavathi Venna.
Montgomery County Judge O’Neill ruled today that Yandamuri’s video confession and written statements to the police and his cellphone records could be shown to the jury.
Yandamuri was present at the Montgomery County court today.
Following the Judge’s ruling, Yandamuri’s lawyers said their client was “bitterly disappointed with the decision.”
With no plans on entering a guilty plea, Yandamuri continues to insist on his innocence and still wants to go to trial.
You can watch Yandamuri’s video confession of October 26, 2012 below:
Note to Readers: The English stuff in the below video does not start until 59 seconds have passed.
Major Setback
Although Yandamuri made a video confession of the killings (which he claims were accidental) in a calm and chilling manner on October 26, 2012 (four days after his two murders) and provided written statements to the police, the Telugu criminal subsequently changed his story and claimed the police coerced him into the confession and writing the statements.
In early January, Yandamuri’s lawyers filed a motion asking for the video confession and the written statement to be suppressed.
But the Judge was not swayed by arguments made by Yandamuri’s defense team.
Judge O’Neill’s ruling today is a serious setback to to Yandamuri’s bid to escape the death penalty because the video confession and written statement to the police are highly damning.
No one seeing the video confession will have any doubt about Yandamuri’s role in the killings or that he was not coerced by the police.
In the video confession, Yandamuri bizarrely enacts the killings and even acknowledges that the police had treated him well during their interrogation.
Pennsylvania prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for Yandamuri.
Now that his video confession and written statement are being allowed to be shown to the jury in the upcoming trial, it’s highly unlikely Yandamuri will escape the death penalty unless Lord Balaji intervenes through a miracle.
Trial Postponed
Meanwhile, Yandamuri’s ‘s trial for the twin murders during a botched kidnapping bid of 10-month-old Saanvi Venna for ransom has been postponed to the second half of 2014, according to media reports.
Yandamuri’s trial was scheduled to start May 5, 2014 but his defense team recently filed a motion seeking postponement of the trial.
Judge O’Neill today agreed to the defense motion and allowed the postponement.
Yandamuri’s lawyers want more time to get character witnesses from India and obtain reports from experts.
While the new trial date has not been announced, it’s likely to start in September.
Raghunandan Yandamuri, a software programmer from Andhra Pradesh on a H1B Visa, is proving to be a huge burden on Pennsylvania taxpayers.
The 28-year-old Indian native has been in jail since his arrest on October 26, 2012. Expenses for Yandamuri’s legal team are also being borne by the state.
There is apparently no doubt about Yandamuri’s guilt after viewing the video.
I am surprised at how they got him to freely confess his act after Mirandizing him.
It appears as though he wanted to get it off his chest and was glad for the opportunity.
Apart from the two dead there are so many other victims of his gambling obsession. The parents of Sanvi, his wife etc.
I wonder why he will not take a plea and save himself from the death penalty and the taxpayers a long and protracted trial.

Who’s offering him a plea deal! Nobody, kid. Nobody!
The prosecutors are baying for the death penalty. The only deal he’s getting is the death penalty.
The second big mistake Yandamuri made was opening his stupid f*cking mouth to the cops.
And to make matters worse the idiot told the cops on video that they treated him well, gave him water etc. Now he claims the police coerced him….blah blah blah! No jury is going to believe him.
Yandamuri’s goose is well and truly cooked!
Some unrequited advise for you & other readers: If you’re ever dumb/whacko enough to rape, murder, mutilate, kidnap, or rob a bank and dumber enough to get caught at least shut the f*ck up when the cops question you. Don’t make the job easy for cops and prosecutors because anything you say will be used against you!
Yandamuri would not be in this miserable state but for yakking away to the cops.
You hit the nail on the head when you wrote above, “It appears as though he wanted to get it off his chest and was glad for the opportunity.”
Turns out the Telugu bidda was psychologically fragile and unable to stand up to the cops.
American cops, particularly the White ones, are too wily!

Why do you even want to give such an advice?

Self-preservation is a Divine, Inexorable Right! Even for murderers? Perhaps!
Part of Human DNA.
I’m sure not a second passes when Yandamuri does not regret his video confession.
Better to be aware of consequences beforehand. All kinds of people read stuff here, mon cher, including some impulsive folks! 😉
Why does this keep getting postponed… This should have been over by now :-/

Every age has its grotesque forms of entertainment.
The Romans had huge arenas where victims were thrown to lions and tigers and people gathered in large numbers to watch the horror.
In our era, we have the whacko Telugu biddas Yandamuri, Nerusu, Kalidindi etc with their morbid, grotesque antics.
