The Court of Common Pleas in Montgomery County has fixed March 15, 2013 as the new date for Telugu bidda Raghunandan Yandamuri’s formal arraignment.
A key step in the Pennsylvania criminal justice procedure, Raghu Yandamuri’s formal arraignment process is scheduled to start at 9AM on March 15.
During the formal arraignment, the charges will be read out to the accused Raghunandan Yandamuri. He will also be informed about his right to file motions and the time limit for filing motions.
Yandamuri’s formal arraignment was previously scheduled for January 16, 2013 but was abruptly cancelled without explanation.
A scheduling conference was held on January 17, 2013.
Venna Murders
Raghunandan Yandamuri has been charged in the kidnapping and death of 10-month-old Saanvi Venna and the death of the baby’s 61-year-old grandmother Satyavathi Venna.
Both Raghu Yandamuri and the Vennas lived in the Marquis Apartment complex in King of Prussia, PA.
The Montgomery County District Attorney is seeking the death penalty for Raghunandan Yandamuri, a software programmer from the South Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
Raghunandan Yandamuri will turn 27 on February 21.
