Republican Presidential Hopefuls

More harm has befallen the American people because of the Republican Party than from any other causes.
Corporate bootlickers, crooks (remember I-am-not-a-crook Nixon?), idiots (George W.Bush) and adulterers (too many to count), Republican leaders have brought this great country to its knees.
With no ideas save low Taxes/no Taxes/Tax cuts for the rich, smearing Obama, less government and war mongering, Republicans are a blight on the nation.
Vote Democrat. They are the lesser evil!

Hey SI,
Among the current bunch, only Mitt Romney seems to be even remotely palatable as a candidate. But then I don’t think Obama should have any problem with him, as he is probably the only politician who actively distances himself from his accomplishments. Barring a major terrorist strike or a double-dip, I think Obama has got the 2nd term locked.
There are crooks on both sides SI, it is just that the GOP are a much more unpleasant lot to deal with. They tend to appeal to the baser instincts of Americans. And sometimes that works.
Live in Toronto now. We had an interesting election last week, but the politics up here in general is not even half as interesting as the States.
BTW, if you want a detailed inside account of the 2008 election (including the primaries on both sides), I would recommend “Game Change”:

Check it out. Excellent read!

1. Yes, Barack Obama now has to try extraordinarily hard to lose the election
2. True, Mitt Romney is the best of the lot.
America may be ready for a Black President but unsure if Americans are ready for a Mormon President.
And they say Indian politics with all its religion and caste complexities is a tough arena to understand!
3. Now that clown Newt Gingrich (former House Speaker) has jumped into the fray!
Well, we suppose every circus needs more than one clown.
4. Will pick up Game Change.
