The folks at Zagat Survey have put out their latest release of The World’s Best Movies covering the top 1,000 movies of all time.
The list was put together based on the picks of 20,773 moviegoers who votes on the Zagat web site.
Here’s the Top 20:

- Schindler’s List (1993)
- Lawrence of Arabia (1962)
- To Kill a Mockingbird (1962)
- Star Wars (1977)
- The Wizard of Oz (1939)

- Singin’ in the Rain (1952)
- Rear Window (1954)
- It Happened One Night (1934)
- Citizen Kane (1941)
- Shawshank Redemption (1994)
- All About Eve (1950)
- The Pianist (2002)
- African Queen (1951)

- Finding Nemo (2003)

Of course, there are no Indian movies in the Top 20.
Hell, why would you even expect one from the accursed dunces and thieves in Bollywood.
Top Actor & Actress
Cary Grant was the all-time favorite actor and Meryl Streep won the honors on the distaff side.
Foreign Films
In the Top 5 Foreign Films category, again there were no Indian movies.

- Rashomon (Japanese)
- Lives of Others (German)
- Children of Paradise (French)
- The pre-Disney version of Beauty and the Beast (French)
Favorite Director
Zagat’s army of surveyors voted Steven Spielberg the all-time favorite director followed by Martin Scorsese and Alfred Hitchcock.
