We have to strengthen our piracy laws and ensure that films in the future receive better protection. Money made by people from selling pirated DVDs has been used to fund terrorist activities, such as the Mumbai terror attacks in 2008. People should be told that their money is being used for antinational activities
– Ulaga Madayan Kamal Haasan, Express Buzz.
Folks, before y’all get your knickers and panties in a twist because we called this Dasavatharam bozo an Ulaga Madayan (universal idiot) remember this fella’s crappy Thenali was outright theft of the hilarious Hollywood film What About Bob?
Spit on this shameless swine and beneficiary of theft, who is now doling out wisdom pissdom on piracy to the public.
Please see the below videos:
Guys, piracy of movies is bad. What happened to Jaggubhai is wrong and we do not condone it.
But what is worse is to listen to scumbags like this Ulaga Madayan, who preach morals to others while benefiting from theft.
Adachi, Poda. 🙁
N.B.: What an irony that Thenali and Jaggubhai should both be directed by K.S.Ravikumar.
For your info…Jaggubhai is touted to be stolen from the Liam Neeson starrer TAKEN!!!….waitin 4 the release to confirm…
SearchIndia.com Responds:
We have seen Taken.
But the more interesting question is did Jaggubhai have any distributors? 😉
they all steal scripts …..many hollywood films are remakes of French, Spanish , German movies ……or what is populary clubbed under World Cinema ….
I have not seen what about bob …but Thenali was very much a Tamil Movie …it cant be a straight lift …
I also saw Jaggubhai on the Internet …now one thing i know for sure is to ….avoid a English movie called as Taken ….
SearchIndia.com Responds:
1. You write: I have not seen what about bob …but Thenali was very much a Tamil Movie …it cant be a straight lift …
What’s in the kapi you drank this morning?
Without watching both, how can you pronounce that Thenali is not a lift/straight lift of What About Bob?
We’ve seen both. Thenali is a crappy version of What about Bob.
Compared to Bill Murray, Kamal Haasan is a podiyan.
2. You write: I also saw Jaggubhai on the Internet …now one thing i know for sure is to ….avoid a English movie called as Taken ….
Funny. 😉
We saw the Jaggubhai trailer on YouTube. Sick.
Ha even I saw Jaggubhai DVDs being sold in Kerala when the movie itself is scheduled for Pongal release. I was tempted to buy but then I realized it is after all KSR flick (remember Adhavan?) and not even worth a watch in DVD !!

Given his ‘track record’ of ‘illustrious’ movies like Aadhavan, Thenali, Dasavatharam et al, K.S.Ravikumar is a buffoon of the highest order.
iamsumu will be incensed.. he was eagerly waiting for the Vijayakanth/Nayantara combo to take on Taken.
Speaking of incensed, I watched “Incendiary”.. although it was critically derided, I am a huge fan of Heath Ledger’s ex.. so it was watchable.. Michelle’s acting was brilliant (and the awesome topless scene didn’t hurt either).. it is on instant play if you like Michelle.
from wiki:
In 1997(when she was barely 17), she won the Robbins World Cup Trading Championship, as her father had done 10 years earlier.[3] She won after turning $10,000 into $110,000 over the course of a year and that gain (as of 2006) is the fourth highest in the history of that competition (her father has the highest).[4]
SearchIndia.com Responds:
Added Incendiary to Instant queue.
Now when Jaggubhai bombs, we can always blame it on the pirates. Right? 😉
See, We have to understand it. If Kamal does not steal, and come up with original thoughts – It’ll be like “Dasavatharam”. And you’ll be pushed to an extent that you must forget the Tamil film industry life long. 😀 😉
Kamal, also reportedly said that – such things are unavoidable in a world of fast-growing technologies. And that, they should explore ways of releasing official DVDs from day one of the film. [Anyhow greedy swines are going to price it more than the theater ticket cost, and people are going to follow copy-paste mechanism again.]
SearchIndia.com Responds:
But Thenali was horrible anyway (at least for those of us who watched What about Bob).
Kamal is an accessory to crime (theft) here.
But it is still awaiting moderation – even after you had put in your response. [Delete this comment after]
SearchIndia.com Responds:
We didn’t realize you could see that too. God!
😆 boops is going on an SI-binge (first the sub-inpector, now search india) tonight.
SearchIndia.com Responds:
His weekend sapad. 😉
And one of the tamil b-grade investigative journalism magazines reports that – SarathKumar requested Rajini that Rajini asks all his fans to watch Jaggubhai to recover it from losses. [Man, why to worry about it, if the movie is good.]
It also reports that Radhika Sarathkumar, a co-producer had got Rs.5 Crores from Zee Tv for this movie, but movie consumed Rs.17 Crores as its budget. When Radhika asked to settle out the remaining amount, Zee Tv reportedly refused to give it, citing that it’s difficult to regain Rs.17 Crores as profits from a SarathKumar movie.
SearchIndia.com Responds:
Sarathkumar should start selling sundal on Marina beach. 😉
‘Jaggubhai’ is a remake of ‘Wasabi,’ not ‘Taken.’
SearchIndia.com Responds:
Yes, looks like it based on what we’ve read of Jaggubhai and the Wiki profile of Wasabi.
We remember watching Wasabi star Jean Reno in Leon (remade as that horrid Bollywood film Bichoo with Bobby Deol and Rani Mukerji) and in Ronin (with Robert De Niro).
Kamal Haasan is the king of plagiarism.
