Hey, it’s the first Monday of the month.
So like any other cheapo desi, we dutifully trooped over to a nearby RedBox kiosk for our free DVD fix.
We picked up Passengers featuring Anne Hathaway.
Directed by Rodrigo Garcia, the movie opened to critical reviews and met with a lukewarm reception at the box office.
But Anne Hathaway is a good actress. Change that to very good actress.
She held her own against the formidable Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada and turned in another impressive performance in Rachel Getting Married.
We’ll try to provide a short update after watching the movie.
Update:
Even the twist in the tale didn’t do much for us.
The movie is about a therapist (Anne Hathaway) helping a handful of survivors of a fiery air-crash deal with their traumatic experience.
Anne Hathaway is alright but this one is beyond salvage.
We’re not whining too much because the DVD was free at RedBox.
5.6 out of 10 on Imdb and 21% positive rating on rotten tomatoes. And you are watching it just for Anne Hathaway?

You write: And you are watching it just for Anne Hathaway?
Isn’t that a good enough reason?
Anne Hathaway is a very good actress. We’re not talking about Trisha Krishnan or Aishwarya Rai here.
Well, sorry to go out of the topic, couldn’t help laughing at this video.
Maybe you should try to watch this to judge what happens when an Indian film maker tries to make a remake/copy an english song/film.
Absolutely hilarious. If MJ had seen this, he would have died years earlier.

Entira Tammudu, Anyayaniki Anthu Ledha (is there no end to injustice in this world)?
Horrible video.
