Since binge drinking is verboten to us, we’re gonna engage in another (less harmful) form of excess, a movie binge.Â
It’s Wednesday.
So we trooped over to RedBox for our free fix of Hollywood movies. We picked up Meryl Streep’s Oscar nominated Doubt. Besides Meryl Streep, the movie got four other Oscars nominations (but failed to win any).
Meryl is one of the all-time great actresses, a colossus if you ask us, and always a pleasure to watch.
Yesterday at our local library, we picked up the late Heath Ledger’s Casanova. We’re gonna watch that too.
From our collection, we plan to watch Tamizhan, featuring Vijay and Priyanka Chopra.
We’ll update this post as we finish watching the three movies.

Doubt: This is a movie about more than just a fine performance by Meryl Streep (playing the doubting, stern-faced Sistern Aloysius).
Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams and Viola Davis shine as much as Meryl Streep in this fine movie about a priest (Father Flynn, played by Philip Seymour Hoffman)Â accused of improper behavior with a young altar boy.
Is the mere ‘certainty’ of one sister that there has been improper conduct enough to drive the priest out of the parish?
