Hindu bigot and BJP leader Varun Gandhi, the ugly spawn of the late ugly Sanjay Gandhi, is in jail for his hate-filled speeches against Muslims.
Varun Gandhi surrendered before a local court in Pilibhit Saturday and was remanded to custody till Monday when his bail hearing comes up.
The communal rabblerouser said:
This is a conspiracy in which I have been framed. I have full faith in the law and in the judiciary. I believe in my principles and I am willing to fight for them… I am ready to go to jail.

India’s Election Commission has refused to accept this Hindu bigot Varun Gandhi’s lying defense that the CDs of speeches that show him making communal speeches are doctored. Folks, this is what the Election Commission of India said:
The commission is far from convinced with such bald assertions. He has not denied anywhere in his explanation that he held the meetings covered and recorded in the CD and that he addressed the audience at those meetings and made speeches there. The commission has seen the CD, not once but several times repeatedly, and is fully convinced and satisfied that the CD has not been tampered with, doctored or morphed, as alleged by the respondent.

He is NOT a Member of the Parliment yet. He is about to contest for the MP – for the first time in his political career, from his mother’s constituency Pilibhit (provided the EC does not dis-qualify him from contesting).
It looks like the CD saga has shot him to national fame overnight. The drama is just unfolding, we will see a lot more in the next six weeks.
As far as his speech goes, it will take years for the newcomer Varun (who is still in LKG of politics) to speak like the veterans, Pranab Mukherjee, who poked fun at the newly formed “Third Front” referring to meaninglessness of the term by invoking the 17th century `Holy Roman Empire’ which, he noted, was “neither holy nor Roman nor Empire”.
OR Kalaignar – who can criticise (Jayalalitha) in a poetic way, without actually naming her.

But our holy hands are tied by crappy laws that give Election Commission no teeth but just the tongue. All we hope is that he gets convicted and sentenced to prison for more than three years. Then we think he will be disqualified. But remember if he gets a term below three years he can still contest the elections from within the jail like erstwhile Pappu Yadav. Poor BJP cannot kick him out because they need his Nehru-Gandhi legacy and cannot keep him in because that would damage the secular image of the pseudo-secular party. Oh and Jai Shri Ram Sena.
