Slumdog Millionaire, a movie loaded with charm, has won the seventh Oscar of the evening at the 81st Annual Academy Awards function in Los Angeles.
Danny Boyle won the Best Director Award.
This time, Slumdog Millionaire’s rivals included:
* David Fincher – The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
* Stephen Daldry – The Reader
* Ron Howard – Frost/Nixon
* Gus Van Sant – Milk
This fine movie has already picked up six other Oscars tonight – for Best Adapted Screenplay, Sound Mixing, Editing, Best Original Score and Best Original Song and Cinematography.
