My take take on this is ” Shame on India !! Shame on your laid back attitude ”

1,2,3…24, 25… I’ve lost count of the blasts that have happened in india in last decade. I am sure many more are to come. It is the sickening laid back attitude of the people of india and Governance body .

Indians from all walks of life should start a civil disobediance movement in india . They should stop paying Income Tax, Property Tax , Road Tax, VAT etc. Why should wepay all these to Government ? Just to see our near and dear ones blown to smithereens? . All the politicians should be whipped in public and should be made accounted for whatever they do. They are just busy in their own number game of seats and money .

Keeping Aside the Government and system. The attitude of indian society is also very disturbing. We have this “Adjusting” habit in our blood. We get adjusted to any kind of situations. History has shown us that we never fight back against these Psychos called Terrorists . As soon as we get a news of blast. We call all our family, Friends etc. and give a sigh of relief !!. Some one else’s mother, father or brother is killed not ours.

We know for sure that time is ticking for next bomb blasts. But we dont know when it is going to explode and where !!.

I am afraid really afraid for my near and dear ones back in india.

Yes.. It has become so pathetic that one of the famous tamil weekly (vikatan) posts a joke very casually as follows..

guy 1 : Do you know why they have imposed a very strict ban on smokin on public..
    guy 2 : ?
guy 1 : Because if a smoker throws a burning cigar that would light a roadside bomb…

hope people would have laught for this joke.. as aptly told by satya we indian are indifferent.. lazy and irresponsible…

The main defect I see is the relaxed way of law enforcement and upholding the virtue of equality among the citizens of a country. No group or community should be allowed to impose their will & ideas which is unacceptable to the other group unilaterally. This will cause frictions among the communities and groups of communities and can cause revolts and reactions.

The nationalistic, religious forces are the main culprits in this violations. They have their own hidden agendas to promote in the form of common sentiments mainly based on prejudice which is a deadly mix to fan communal violence and pogroms against one another. This trend has to be defeated by the full force of the state security systems. if not, the pogroms may come and go leaving innocents dead and their belongings lost.

But, for the survivor/s of the incident, they will be pushed into a new kind of psychological terror fighting within themselves to justify things that are haunting his/her mind which is going to be a permanent scar in their minds and could lead to seek vengence.

When the ideas evolve in the minds and wrong kinds of people were to join hands with them, the revenge begins to outflow in many ways terrorising and causing damage to another group of innocents who have no connection with whatsoever to these atrocities. This will have domino effect like the financial crisis we see today in the world.

The judicial, and the law enforcement systems are sometimes corrupt and that will cause more damage by not taking appropriate action by taking the main culprits of any violence into custody due to political and religious or financial influence.

We have seen this trend in Sri Lanka for the last 75-100 years. Now the same thing is happening everywhere.

Injustice and the failure to impose justice is the maincause of all these ills. It should atleast start from the family level. If every family has a person to work and live according to his conscience and not to harm anybody. Then the whole society in a area would be rescued from this phenomena. Just multiply that into cities and states & countries the whole world would be free from this evil.

Start from your on family to uphold justice and equality, you are doing a great service to the mankind.

No one community is independent. No religious group is indpendnt. No race is independent. We are all connected with one another. We have to take a unified stand against all sort of injustice and violence. We are all dependent on each other for the survival of the mankind.

    Can we make a change?

I have started this with my family. I teach my family about the rights and wrongs. I myself, have kept open the checks and balances about my conduct by my family. Constructive criticism is very much prevalent in my family. So, I will not be a slave of my ego for that reason.

Guess, the main defect you refer to above applies only to the first part of the sentence.

    2. We’ve always been great fans of the Singapore model, particularly Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew.

Beneath the calm facade of most humans lurks a violent beast that rears its head ever so often, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

    Your (SI) point:

My answer: Yes, Thanks for pointing out. I should have said “one of the many defects” instead.

    FYI:
I have a restless day here. Today, has been a holiday in this part of the world (like Sundays in other countries, Friday is a holiday in some Arab countries)

I have a conflict of issues concerning commenting on SI and having to help my wife to clean up the house. She’s like a mosquito buzzing in my ear, telling me to shut the computer and do some work to help her out.

So, my mind was switching from writing and concentrating on writing quickly to finish writing. Family life is about multi-tasking – a tough job.

    I loose concentration.

We feel that domesticity has been imposed on man. Not a natural state of things. 😉

Yes, after marriage I’m like “The Man In The Iron Mask”…haa,,,haa.

FYI, my wife is a very nice person. She knows and understands my psyche very well. Notwithstanding obeying all the rules of a Male dominated family system, she has the freedom to criticise me for my shortcomings. Also, She has the guts to tell me to my face if I’m wrong on something.

Having said that I can’t undestand why women go moody on certain times…. creatures, hey??

Shuaib : Start from your on family to uphold justice and equality,

yes, nicely said Shuaib. I think it starts from the granular level as family. Respecting each other, being truthful, hating lies.. these basic things should lead to a great change in the lives.

Almost all these blasts are classified as ‘Muslim Terrorism’. Why the secular India has to be hit by this?
America has invaded islamic nations so it is being attacked… why India… because of Pakistan… ?
Even at the time, when we had tought rivalry and fights with pakistan we didnt have these many attacks…
we need to watch closely these situation… earlier in 90s we used to hear about the arrests of pakistani terrorists in a plot of killing someone or bombing on a important day … but now a days the scene has changed.. involved are indians, local islamic groups, mostly kids. Why? These are repercussions of Hindu Chauvnist Activities by RSS…

    http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/ET_Debates/Are_minorities_safe_in_BJP-ruled_states/articleshow/3510866.cms

‘Hindu Chauvinism’ is a very strange word.. because hindus were never ‘chauvinists’ on religion. Of these millions of years people of this religion were never fierce on religious grounds (where as christians and muslims were). It was always a great challenge for few of those extremists to bring a sense of extremeism on majority of Hindus. They are working on a plan and trying to change the nature of Hindus. RSS’ ultimate aim is to make India a Hindu nation. For India this stance would be very dangerous due to its nature of highly diversified ethnicity (remember the hatred of Biharis and Marathis), and it would become a little africa.

    Too complex a problem…

As the folks in America would say, Above our Pay Grade (a trick to get out of a discussion you don’t want to have for whatever reason).

In India, economic development has mostly bypassed the Muslims with the exception of Bollywood Khans (Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Fardeen Khan, Zayed Khan, Sohail Khan, Aarbaz Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Soha Ali Khan, Imran Khan…have we left out any other Bollywood Khans?).

  8. joeantony   November 4, 2008 at 1:18 am

“Above our pay grade” — yes it has been above the pay grade of every one India… thats why it goes untamed…

    btw….
For long time I was wondering why so many Khans are in bollywood.. did some research… basically the surname Khan is adopted by those muslims having ancestors as Parsians… though they are not parsis themselves in India they are Mughals the ancient race of Persia ( Iran n eastern afghan) have produced this race… they invaded India and ruled for hundreds of years… Khans are actully direct decendents of these people who are known for Beauty and charm… this may be the reason why we have so many Khans out there so successfull

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

Mughals are from Central Asia although the Mughal armies did include some Persian soldiers.
