Flood Scene & the Rail Accident scene are made very well in Anbe Sivam.

Otherwise, its all about arguing on which is good ‘Capitalism’ or ‘Communism’.

Two guys with different philosophies struck up with each other on a travel which is obstructed by a Natural Calamity. *thats all is the story*

Art Department & Kamal’s Acting are the highlights in the Movie.

I am afraid, someone would claim this is a copy of an holywood movie ‘love, shiv and his whereabouts’

Well, I also like to recommend,
‘Sathileelavathi’ & ‘Imsai Arasan’ if you want something seriously funny.
    and
‘Mahanadhi’ if you want something good.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

Hope to receive Anbe Sivam soon.

Pitt and Clooney with makers of NCFOM (NOT North Carolina Friends of Midwives) should be much better than the righteous brothers with the director of 88 minutes.. I think..

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    We’ll know on Friday.

    I couldn’t stop recommending,
    how about “Philadelphia”
very good one. Wonderful scene is, when tom hanks starts learning ‘law’ to defend his case.
    wonderful movie.
“shaft” is stylish and bit racial (u may try)

Also in tamil, like to remind you one movie called “Ellame En Rasadhan”. I was reluctant to go for a Rajkiran’s movie, but forced by my friend, and ended up loving this movie. It would show the pattern of behaviour when one is addicted to something.

i prefer you dont prefer “kadhalan”
not much stuff except some good CG in the song “mukkala”.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

Netflix has delayed shipping Kadhalan…has to come from California shipping center…not coming until Monday.

Finally I stopped watching Tamil movies. It’s really true you are seriously processing our requests. Thanks! So i think I can place more requests from now on.

Actually I like musicals. I remember a long time ago, maybe 13 years back, watching the Disney classic ‘The ‘BEAUTY AND THE BEAST’.I really loved it.I recently got a chance to view the movie again and it was absolutely fantastic. Many of many campus mates though were of the impression that it was childish.. I seriously don’t know whether you like animated movies or not and this movie has got nothing to do with Pixar. So we can’t expect superior animations like that of Pixar.

Please do review this Disney’s musical for me.I think this is easily available from Netflix. I just want your view on this, to hear whether this is really romantic or ‘just for kids’.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    Will do.

Watched “A Wednesday”. It’s a nice 90 minute movie without songs and masala (unusual from Bollywood!). It keeps you gripping until the end. The end is superb! Hope the story is not stolen from a foreign movie. Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher have given their best. Wonderful screenplay and direction!

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

The movie had a very limited release on the East Coast (of the U.S.). Wonder why.

Are you aware of this list..
    http://www.bfi.org.uk/sightandsound/topten/poll/list.php?list=films
Just read about it on Ebert’s blog today.. Those the movies that got the votes from highly respected directors and critics.. so they should all be good in one way or other.
Interestingly Mughal-e-Azam is listed in this..

You have probably already viewed all the movies in http://www.bfi.org.uk/sightandsound/topten/poll/critics.html
    and
    http://www.bfi.org.uk/sightandsound/topten/poll/directors.html

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

Was not aware of this list. Tks.
