Some Shiv Sena activists irate about derogatory references to Maratha hero Shivaji and the Thackeray family on Google’s popular Orkut web site have been venting their fury on Cybercafes in Mumbai.

Indian media reports say that the Shiv Sainiks have already vandalized some cybercafes  and warned web surfers to stay away from Orkut.

Apparently, the cops in Mumbai and Thane have been visting cybercafes and asking them to discourage their customers to log on to Orkut, a social networking web site.

The student wing of Shiv Sena is supposedly developing software to block access to Orkut.
