It’s been a while since we went over to RedBox for our free movie fix.
So, we headed over to the nearby RedBox (the locations are increasing) today and picked up Snatch.
Directed by Guy Ritchie (ex-Mr.Madonna), the crime movie features Brad Pitt, Benicio del Toro and Vinnie Jones among others.
Apparently, Snatch met with a decent reception, both from the critics and at the box office.
We’ll try to update this post after watching the 103-minute movie.

Snatch is OK. Ritchie’s “Lock stock and two smoking barrels” is his best movie. Have you watched it??Do tr watching it one of these days. It was stolen by remade into a fairly successful hindi movie called “phir hera pheri” starring akshay kumar etc…

agree with hitman.. thought Barrels was better.. but imdb users have rated Snatch marginally higher.. probably because of the stellar cast.

But then we’ve seen Sose Thanda Sowbhagya, Aliya Geleya, Hitler Umanath and Pilot Premnath, most likely four of the weirdest movies ever made. Now, how many SI readers can lay claim to that dubious honor! 😉
But we’ll see Matrix and review it here too soon.
Which is better among Lock,Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch?
I preferred to buy the former and thought of watching Snatch later. 😀

We liked both. Snatch is more frenetic. You ought to rent and watch them before buying either. Surely, your online DVD rental services would carry the two.

What about DVD kiosks? Guess not. Your regular corner-of-the-street DVD rental must still be going strong. We have RedBox here ($1 for up to 9PM the next night).
