The short answer is No.

While there will definitely be some minor irregularities here and there, we think it unlikely that the top management of Infosys, Wipro and Mindtree would stoop to the level of Satyam crooks like B.Ramalinga Raju who committed massive fraud and cooked up the books for several years.

We are familiar with the top management of Infosys, Wipro and Mindtree – the Narayana Murthys, Nandan Nilekanis, Azim Premjis, Ashok Sootas, Krishnakumars, Subroto Bagchis, Janakiramans et al.

Each one of the above individuals has certain failings (no, we won’t tell you now) but they are not crooks like Ramalinga Raju and his cronies.

It takes a special pair of cojones to be like Ramalinga Raju. And not everyone has those kind of cojones.

We are not as familiar with Ramalinga Raju since we met the bloke just once (he didn’t impress us much. Well, truth be said the only time we are easily impressed is when we look into the mirror).

Of course, predictions always carry a certain degree of risk. And only extraordinarily brave souls or blithering idiots would venture to predict the future (Yes, we dare to think that we belong in the brave category not the dolts group).

Tomorrow we could have egg on the face if there are disclosures of fraud by Infosys, Wipro or Mindtree. But we think it unlikely that such a thing will happen. At least, not on the Satyam scale.
