Yuvvraaj Crashes 40%; Salman Khan Finito?

Moviegoers Dump on Yuvvraaj – Box Office Disaster

Bollywood’s latest mega crapshow Yuvvraaj has crashed at the U.S. box office in its second weekend.

For the weekend of November 28-30, Yuvvraaj grossed a mere $158,433.

The Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor and Zayed Khan starrer Yuvvraaj came in at No-27 with an average gross of $2,058.

Since Yuvvraaj had a lousy first weekend too at the U.S. box office, a 40% crash in the second weekend does not augur well.

Here’s a look at how Yuvvraaj has fared compared to some prominent Bollywood films in the second weekend at the U.S. box office:

Given the miserable box office performance of Salman Khan’s movies lately, we doubt this bozo has much of a career left in Bollywood anymore.

    You say:

This is not true at all! One good movie after a slew of crappy flops is enough to put actors back on top… remember Abhishek Bachchan until Yuva? or Saif Ali Khan until DCH?

    Only time will tell…

What a scary thought – the idea that this non-actor Salman Khan will return to torment us.

Is there such a paucity of talent in Bollywood?

wow, I thought yuvraaj would do better than dostana in the box office. Ghai usually makes pretty good movies.

When was the last time Subhash Ghai made a watchable movie?

Aishwarya was gorgeous in Taal. I thought Akhshay(?) did well. Music was terrific.. On the whole, not a great movie.. but watchable for those 3 factors.

Yes. Watched Taal a few years back. Here’s a short review of Taal.
